Private collaboration workspace

Your tools. Shared context.

Work in your own remote checkout with Codex, GitHub Copilot, or OpenCode. Open Math makes authorized project context available to each interface while keeping publication and project membership explicit.

A compact network connecting people, code, and project context

Pilot environment online

Connect in three steps.

Every researcher has a separate Unix account, private credentials, and an independent Git checkout for each project they are assigned to.

Prepare VS Code

Install Visual Studio Code and Microsoft's Remote - SSH extension. Create an SSH key if you do not have one, then send only its public half to the administrator.

Connect to the host

Use your assigned Unix username and the server address 46.225.116.96. Never send your private key or passphrase.

Open your project

When an administrator assigns you to a project, setup creates your independent checkout at ~/python/<project>. Open that folder in the remote VS Code window.

ssh -i ~/.ssh/openmath_ed25519 your-name@46.225.116.96

Choose context deliberately.

The default is private. Move material into project context only when it is ready to be available to the project's members.

Personal · default

Visible only to you

Use personal scope for tentative ideas, private notes, and work that has not been selected for collaboration.

Project · explicit

Available to project members

Use project:impact only when you intend the visible session content to become part of shared project context.

Open Math records only visible events exposed by the coding runtime. It does not capture hidden model reasoning, read credentials, or silently publish personal context.

One project record, several ways in.

Choose the agent and interface that suit the task. Open Math keeps the durable project layers independent of those choices.

  • VS Code agent chatUse Codex or GitHub Copilot in the remote checkout to read authorized context, edit reviewed files, and make ordinary Git commits.
  • OpenCodeRun open-math-opencode in the integrated terminal for automatic, opt-in capture of visible events.
  • GitThe shared repository at /srv/git/<project>.git is the durable record for reviewed source and project-owned documentation.
  • SlackA second project interface for messages and bounded project actions. The private pilot connection is currently being enabled.

Conversation continuity

Open Math-owned conversations will be portable across VS Code, Slack, and the CLI. Threads owned by Codex or Copilot remain in those products; selected conclusions can still be contributed explicitly to shared Open Math context.

Access boundary

Membership comes before the checkout.

Host access does not grant access to every project. An administrator assigns project membership, provisions the independent checkout, and gives that user access to the corresponding context scope.
